Corporate Social Responsibility / Environmental safety and hygiene To fulfill our corporate social responsibility, Duratek is committed to ongoing efforts in pollution prevention and environmental improvement. We strive to minimize the environmental impact of all our processes and activities. Together with all employees, we uphold the following ytprinciples to promote environmental sustainability and create a greener future.

  • Comply with government decrees and various environmental regulations.
  • Identify hazard assessments, dedicate to pollution control and disaster prevention, and eliminate environmental safety and health risks.
  • Actively implement water resources and waste management policies to improve environmental performance.
  • Conduct regular education and training to promote the importance of environmental safety and sanitation.

Duratek has calculated water consumption and total waste weight, and has incorporated issues related to environmental sustainability, such as greenhouse gas inventory, energy conservation and carbon reduction, and ecological care, into future planning. This aims to improve overall environmental performance indicators, thereby enhancing environmental quality and establishing the company's direction for environmental sustainability.

The water resource policy is as follows: "Full participation in water conservation, maximizing water usage efficiency, and promoting awareness and savings of water resources".

  • Aising awareness among employees about the importance of water conservation.
  • Comprehensively implement water conservation in daily life to maximize the benefits of available water resources.
  • Prioritizing the purchase of waterefficient equipment with water-saving labels.
  • Installing a DI WATER wastewater recycling system.

The waste management policy is as follows: "Enhance the performance of industrial waste management by legally carrying out waste removal, treatment, and recycling operations".

To support our goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions, the company has set a 1% annual reduction target for waste intensity per unit of product. Through waste reduction measures such as source reduction, recycling, reuse, and enhanced waste sorting, we aim to achieve both total waste reduction and waste resource utilization.

Emergency Response

To enhance safety management (including fire safety management) and effectively respond to disasters and correct/prevent recurrence, our company, in addition to strictly complying with relevant safety and health laws and regulations, has established relevant operating procedures such as "Emergency Response Procedures" and "Corrective, Prevention, and Improvement Procedures." We also conduct emergency drills for potential emergencies to strengthen our employees' familiarity with the division of responsibilities, response procedures, and evacuation routes. We also review the results of on-site emergency response drills and revise their suitability with workplace processes and equipment.

Healthy Workplace

The company regularly arranges annual health checks and physical examinations for new employees, and provides fitness equipment to promote employee well-being.
Furthermore, to enhance workplace safety, factory employees participate in CPR training, equipping them with basic first aid skills and extending emergency assistance to the scene of an incident, fostering a healthy and safe work environment for employees.
